David Rasmussen, Minneapolis, MN State Advocate

Statement of Purpose

To help coordinate the efforts of the Master Educators and Trainers in the state of Minnesota. To help promote Leave No Trace Awareness and Training though workshops and courses. I was truly surprised by the numbers of trainers (45+) and masters (40+) in the state. If the efforts of those individuals can be pulled together, Leave No Trace in Minnesota will grow by leaps and bounds. Resident of our state often recreate out of state. When a Minnesotan checks in at the frontcountry or backcountry desk, we’d like to hear them answer “yes” when asked if they are aware of the Principles of Leave No Trace.
